Power Outages and City Emergency Services

City of Madison Mayor Paul Soglin is advising anyone who relies on power for medical equipment, or who has a medical condition that is affected by a loss of power to call 911 for assistance. Today's snowstorm has caused widespread power outages within the City of Madison. Current estimates are that approximately 2,000 customers are without power. Road conditions are still treacherous and residents are advised not to travel. The City Streets Department is prepared to escort any emergency vehicles that experience difficulty in responding to calls.
