Madison Parks to hold a public meeting to discuss the Reindahl Park Splash Pad.

The City of Madison will be hosting a public input meeting on Tuesday, February 19th at 6:30 pm at Sandburg Elementary School to discuss the proposed splash pad for Reindahl Park. The proposed splash pad will include construction of an over 2500 square foot interactive water attraction featuring spray toys and fountains. Like the Cypress Spray Park located on the city's south side, this will be free, public facility open during summer months beginning in 2014. The proposed splash pad will include water conserving equipment such as low flow features and a recirculating water capture and reuse system which will treat and reuse splash pad water within the system, along with associated amenities for the splash pad area. At this meeting City staff will review the changes to the park master plan to incorporate the splash pad and seek public input on some preliminary splash pad concepts. Reindahl Park, located at 1818 Portage Road, and will feature several new improvements in the next 5 years including the proposed splash pad, athletic facility enhancements, and new shelter landscaping. Currently this park is home to a major soccer complex, reservable shelter, playground, basketball court, community gardens, and tennis courts.
