City Releases Request for Qualifications for Judge Doyle Square Development in Downtown Madison

posted

Today, the City of Madison issued a Request for Qualifications, seeking qualified real estate development teams for a significant mixed-use development opportunity comprised of employment, hotel, residential, retail and restaurant uses combined with bicycle and parking facilities. Known as Judge Doyle Square, this prominent two-block site is in the heart of the City's central business district and will unite the vibrant Capitol Square with the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center. The City invites qualified development teams to respond to this RFQ by April 30, 2013 for the redevelopment of the site. Through this RFQ, the City is seeking to prequalify a limited number of proposers who will be invited to participate in a subsequent Request for Proposals ("RFP") process that is expected to commence in the third quarter of the 2013 calendar year. There will be a Pre-Submittal Information meeting in Madison on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. The Request for Qualifications document, along with further background materials, may be found in the Gallery section of the Judge Doyle Square website at http://www.cityofmadison.com/planning/judgedoylesquare/. All inquiries concerning the RFQ should be addressed to Steven R. Cover, Director of Planning & Community & Economic Development for the City of Madison at nprusaitis@cityofmadison.com.
