posted

The City of Madison and Pellitteri Document Destruction will be hosting a free document destruction day this Saturday at Warner Park. The event will take place from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. The event is for City of Madison residents only and there is a limit of three boxes or plastic bags of documents per vehicle. "We are pleased to be able to offer this service for Madison residents," Madison recycling coordinator George Dreckmann said. "Everyone has come documents that need shredding and thanks to Pellitteri we will be able to help." People who wish to bring their material in for destruction should enter Warner Park from N. Sherman AV. There will be markers directing vehicles to the collection point. Staff will be on hand to empty boxes and bags. "We will be recycling all of the paper collected at this event after it has been shredded," Dreckmann said. In addition to papers, the City will also be recycling DVD's, CD's, and plastic jewel box cases for recycling. Those items must be kept separate from paper. "We cannot accept video tapes, floppy discs, computer tapes, or cassettes," Dreckmann said. This is a one day only event that will be held rain or shine.
