Madison Senior Center features Work by Dane County Photographers

The Madison Senior Center proudly announces the photography winners for the 2013 A PHOTO AFFAIR contest. Dane County photographers 55 years and older were invited to submit photographs for judging. The show highlights the outstanding photographic talent and skill of older adults in Dane County. Three professional judges, John Lorimer, David Peterson and Daryl Sherman, awarded cash prizes and bestowed honors on the photographers. Best of Show was "Arches & Arches & …" by Mary Beth Riley; Award of Excellence went to "Ethereal" by Felicitus Ferington; Kathryn Lederhause's "Exuberance" and "Celestial Spotlight - Niagara Falls" by Mary Beth Riley won the two Judges' Choice Awards. Honorable Mention awards went to "Signs of Winter" by Felicitus Ferington, "Rose" by Deborah Ahlstedt, and "Reflections" by Jane Qualle. "Walls - Santorini" by Don Sylvester, "Palm Tree in Sun and Shade" by Terry Anderson, and "Jimmy Buffett @ Alpine Valley" by Tommy Mader won the Round of Applause awards. This interesting photo exhibit runs through October 31 and can be viewed weekdays from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the Madison Senior Center, 330 W. Mifflin Street Madison, WI 53703.
