Metro Transit to Close Stop on State St. at W. Mifflin St.

Effective: Tuesday, August 18

In July, Metro Transit and the City of Madison Transit and Parking Commission (TPC) held a public hearing to discuss removing the bus shelter located at the top of State St. at W. Mifflin St. Following the public hearing, it was decided to move forward with the removal of the bus shelter and stop.
 
This stop will be closed starting Tuesday, August 18. Work to remove the shelter will start on Tuesday, August 18 and is expected to be completed on Wednesday, August 19.
 
Starting on Tuesday, passengers should board around the corner on N. Carroll St. at Mifflin St. (Stop ID #1324) on the Capitol Square.
 
Metro’s fall Ride Guide and System Map will be updated with this change.
