About Steven: I'm married with three kids and am originally from Chicago, IL. I received my Firefighter 1 and 2 certifications from MATC and my EMT-B from Blackhawk Technical College. I also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University.

About Tracy: I became a firefighter at the suggestion of a co-worker when I was working a college job as a parking service attendant (writing parking tickets to college students). Being a firefighter was not at all something I had considered for a career. After one week in the academy, I knew it was a perfect fit.

I’m also a four-year letter winner at UW for rowing and coached rowing for UW before joining the MFD. I started ice skating and playing hockey in 2010.

Previous Experience: None as a firefighter. Previously, I was a personal banker at First Federal (now Associated Bank) across from Station #5 "The Nickel."

Current/Past Assignments: Currently a Firefighter/Paramedic. Previously a part of the Rapid Intervention Team and EMS Training.

About Michael: I've completed Firefighter I & II as well as Fire Instructor at MATC. I've been a CPR instructor for over 15 years and currently serve on the Recruitment Committee. Some of my other activities include completing the Ironman 2011 in honor of 9/11, dancing competitively for The Rainbow Project, and volunteering as a wrestling coach for Lancer Youth Wrestling at La Follette High School. I'm a multilingual Mexican American who speaks Spanish, English, and some French.
