Back Yard Fire On Morrison Did Not Meet Safety Standards

Engine Company 3 was dispatched to Morrison Street for a report of a campfire burning in a back yard there. On arrival, firefighters noted the fire failed to meet several requirements of the Madison Fire Department’s outdoor burning guidelines.
The occupant was asked to extinguish the fire, which he did with his garden hose. He was left with a copy of the City’s outdoor burning guidelines in case he was interested in having another campfire, but he understood that it would not be happening tonight.
