Tangled Cable Wires Temporarily Shut Down Stoughton Road Early Tuesday Morning

Firefighters responded to reports of a piece of construction equipment tangled up with lines from a power pole on S. Stoughton Road near the Beltline Highway.
 
The lines were determined to be low-voltage cable wires, not electric power lines. Firefighters removed the cables from the equipment, and the Dane County Communications Center notified Charter that their cable wires needed to be repaired.
 
Firefighters turned the scene over to police, who had been keeping the road closed, and cleared from the call at 3:16 a.m.
