Oven Mitt Catches On Fire Inside Broiler

Firefighters were sent to a home on Drake Street after an occupant left an oven mitt inside the broiler. She forgot to remove it before turning on the oven.
 
The mitt caught on fire, but the fire died out on its own as the woman talked to Dane County 911 dispatchers. Engine Company 4 confirmed the fire was completely out before returning other responding companies.
 
There was no damage to the oven as a result of the fire.
