Two Displaced By Small Fire On Calypso Road

A Calypso Road resident says she woke up and came into her living room Monday morning to discover her flat-screen TV was on fire. She unsuccessfully attempted to put out the fire with a couch pillow. When that didn’t work, she went to the kitchen and retrieved some water, extinguishing the fire just prior to Engine 10 and Medic 10’s arrival.
 
Two people were displaced from the apartment due to smoke damage totaling an estimated $2,800. American Red Cross assisted the occupants with finding temporary housing.
