Firefighters Extinguish Vehicle Fire On Eastbound Beltline

Engine Company 5 was called to the "on" ramp of I-39 North, off of the eastbound Beltline highway, for a Chevy Venture on fire.
 
The driver told firefighters he was headed down the highway when smoke started coming out of the vents. He pulled over, and the engine soon started on fire. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle unharmed.
 
Firefighters used their bumper line to put out the fire. The van was no longer operable, and Wisconsin State Patrol called a tow truck to the scene.
