The new open-sided, reservable picnic shelter is complete at Sauk Creek Park!
Contractor Madison Commercial Landscapes, Inc. of Oregon, WI who submitted the lowest qualified bid of $145,000 at the opening held on March 10, 2017, completed site restoration the week of June 19th. Lay-down of the asphalt path is anticipated to occur the last week of June. The contract included the construction of shelters at Allied and Norman Clayton Parks - work on all shelters is anticipated to be completed in early July.
City of Madison Parks Division staff held a public meeting on January 12, 2017 to review the master plan for the park, which included the proposed location for the sun shelter.
