You must attend RESJI 1: What are Racial Equity & Social Justice? before attending this session.
Imagine a Madison where everyone has access to opportunity and the ability to shape the future of our City, regardless of race, income, gender, or other group status. The City has committed to this vision through the Racial Equity and Social Justice Initiative (RESJI).
Now that participants have a foundation in the key concepts of racial equity and social justice, RESJI 2 provides participants with the tools to integrate these concepts into their daily work. Several tools and techniques are shared and practiced, including a racial equity impact analysis, organization assessment, and development of strategies and work plans. This session is highly interactive and will give participants concrete tools to take back to their department.
This course lays the groundwork for RESJI 3: Transformative Leadership and Communication.
