Investigators Looking Into Suspicious Vehicle Fire

City of Madison Police Detectives and Madison Fire investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding a vehicle fire.

On Thursday, June 18, 2009, at approximately 1:10 PM, Madison Police and Fire personnel received reports of a vehicle fire at 6769 Schroeder Road.

Madison Police arrived first and directed Engine 7 to a rear parking lot of Willow Pointe apartment complex, where they arrived to find a vehicle heavily involved in smoke and flames. The fire did not cause any damage to a nearby two-story apartment building.
Firefighters quickly and swiftly extinguished the fire, and reported no injuries.

The Madison Police and Fire Investigation Team has determined the fire to be intentionally set.
