UW Men's Hockey Team to practice at Elver Park
January 5 | noon - 1:00p.m.

Madison Parks is proud to partner with the University of Wisconsin Men's Hockey team as they hold practice at Elver Park on Tuesday, January 5 from noon- 1p.m. The outdoor facility at Madison's Elver Park was chosen for the hockey team to practice and prepare for their upcoming Culver's Camp Randall Hockey Classic on February 6 at Camp Randall Stadium. The public is welcome to come and watch the practice.

Elver Park, located at 1250 McKenna Blvd, is one of Madison's premiere winter recreation parks with ice skating, 10km of groomed cross-country ski trails, and one of the largest sledding hills in the city. This is not the first partnership with Madison Park's Elver Park and UW Athletics. For many years "The Hill" at Elver Park has been part of the several UW varsity teams' training regimen.

In addition to Elver Park, Madison Parks has a number of facilities perfect for your family's winter recreation. Don't hibernate this winter, come out and play in Madison Parks. As the temperature drops, the fun just gets started! Ice skating is available at Elver Park, Vilas Park, Tenney Park, Olbrich Park and Westmorland Park. Madison Parks also offers over 30km of groomed ski trails at Odana Hills & Monona Golf Courses, Elver Park, Owen Conservation Park, So. Cherokee Marsh, and Turville Woods.
