GEORGE THOMAS HOMICIDE

April 27, 2011

THOSE WITH INFORMATION URGED TO COME FORWARD

Tomorrow, Thursday, April 28th, would have been George Thomas's 69th birthday. The Madison Police Department is once again appealing to the community for information regarding the Madison man's murder. His body was discovered inside a room of the Kings Inn, 915 W. Beltline Highway, on August 22, 2007.

Detectives believe the homicide was a targeted act of violence, and remain convinced there are people in this community who know what happened to Mr. Thomas. Those with knowledge are strongly urged to come forward.

Mr. Thomas has three grown children in the Madison area. They very much loved their father, and would very much like to see those responsible brought to justice. The Madison Police Department remains committed to finding and arresting his killer or killers.

Prior to his death, Mr. Thomas was relatively well known in parts of the south side, where most called him "Pops," "Jody," or "Tire Man."

Anyone with information on Mr. Thomas's homicide should call Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 266-6014. Callers can remain anonymous, and maybe eligible for up to a $1,000 reward.
