The First Tee® of South Central Wisconsin to host home site in Madison Parks Monona Golf Course

Madison, WI | Madison Parks pleased to announce that the Golf Madison Parks has joined forces with The First Tee® of South Central Wisconsin to host the chapter's home site at Monona Golf Course and to make affordable access to golf available to all area youth!

The First Tee® is an international youth development organization that utilizes golf to teach all kids skills that will benefit them for life. The mission of The First Tee is: to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.

The First Tee® golf coaches and instructors are trained to integrate seamlessly into their technical golf instruction nine core values Courtesy, Good Judgment, Respect, Confidence, Honesty, Integrity, Perseverance, Responsibility and Sportsmanship-values and skills that are beneficial to participants both on and off the course!

A generous scholarship program is available through The First Tee® program. Please note: If your child qualifies for the free or reduced lunch program at school, he or she is eligible for a scholarship in The First Tee®. Even if your child does not qualify for the reduced or free lunch program, he or she may qualify for a program scholarship. Scholarship questions may be directed to Joni Dye, joni.dye@gmail.com

Come out to Monona Golf Course to see for yourself just how "junior-friendly" the course is. While you're there, gather information on junior golf spring and summer lessons series for kids from 6-17 years of age. Meet the golf instructors and learn more about opportunities available to participants of The First Tee®, such as leadership and business forums and academies and college scholarships. Learn how the collaboration between the City of Madison and The First Tee® allows us to offer participants deeply discounted practice and playing opportunities!
