ARTspace Exhibition Deadline

posted

November 13, 2006 is the last day to apply for a spot in ARTspace. All slots for 2007 will be filled from applications received by that date. The City of Madison offers artists from the greater Madison area a chance to display their work publicly through the ARTspace Program. ARTspace has a public gallery on the first floor of the Madison Municipal Building on Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. This highly visible exhibition space is available for two-month periods. Mayor Dave Cieslewicz, in collaboration with the Madison Arts Commission, also makes the Mayor’s Conference Room available for semi-annual ARTspace exhibitions. The Mayor’s Conference Room, located within the Mayor’s Office in the City County Building, is host to hundreds of meetings each year. This opportunity provides Madison artists with the chance to exhibit work for a six-month period in a highly utilized City space. There is no fee to exhibit work or to apply. Work may be two-dimensional or three-dimensional. Applications and guidelines can be found at www.cityofmadison.com/mac. You can also pick up an application in Room 200 of the Madison Municipal Building or email Karin Wolf at kwolf@cityofmadison.com. Applications will not be accepted after November 13, 2006.
