Motorcycle Parking

On-street motorcycle parking in the City of Madison is allowed in unmetered areas and in metered spaces. There are on-street metered spaces designated for motorcycle parking only, but motorcycles are not limited to parking in these stalls, and may also park in metered spaces that are available to cars. State statute allows up to three motorcycles to be parked in an on-street parking space. This applies both to spaces available to cars and to dedicated motorcycle spaces. Motorcycles are allowed in off-street parking facilities in designated areas only. For safety reasons motorcycles should not go through gated entry lanes to access parking. Motorcycles should park at the designated metered motorcycle spaces in the garages, which are located outside of the gated areas. The cost for parking in dedicated motorcycle spaces is $1.00 per hour; the cost for parking at other on-street spaces is $1.75 per hour. All time limits and restrictions must be observed.

Dedicated motorcycle parking spaces are provided in the following locations:

Off-Street

Note: For safety reasons motorcycles should NOT access parking by going through a gated entry lane. Designated motorcycle parking areas can be entered without opening access gates.

  • 300 North Henry Street (1 space)
  • 100 North Pinckney Street (2 spaces)
  • 100 East Washington Avenue (2 spaces)
