Boating: 
The City of Madison Parks Division maintains a number of sight-seeing and boat launch piers throughout the city's lakefront parks. The piers are put in in the spring and taken out again in late fall. 

Year-Round Lake Access Sites:  

City: Warner Park, Tenney Park, Spring Harbor Park, Marshall Park, Olbrich Park, Olin-Turville Park, 

County: Lake Farm County Park, Babcock County Park, Goodland County Park and Fish Camp County Park, Mendota County Park

Please note: the City of Monona's Boat Launch Sites (Tonyawatha Trail Park, Winnequah Park, Lottes Park) will still only need permits from May 1 - October 31.

Parking at launch sites:
Parking on the grass is prohibited at ALL of the Madison Parks, including all boat launch sites (
ordinance 8.16).  When the launch parking lot is full, you must find an alternative launch site.  Vehicles that launch boats must purchase and display the proper Lake Access Permit.

Parking in the long stalls is for vehicles with trailers only. (ordinance 8.21)
Parking in the short stalls is for single vehicles only.

Estacionamiento en sitios de botes:
Estacionamiento en el césped es prohibido en TODOS los Parques de Madison, inclusive en todos los sitios de estacionamiento de botes (ordenanza 8.16). Cuándo el estacionamiento de botes está repleto, usted debe encontrar un sitio alternativo para estacionar su bote. Los vehículos que lanzan los botes deben comprar y colocar el Permiso apropiado para acceso al Lago (Lake Access Permit).

At Marshall Park, 30 boat mooring spots are rented.   A waiting list is maintained for open spots.  If a spot opens up, it is offered to the first person on the list, giving preference to City of Madison residents.  To get on the list, you may call 266-4711.

BOAT STORAGE:
The City of Madison Parks Division offers a variety of outdoor locations for Madison residents and non-residents to store their canoes and kayaks.  To inquire about an available location, please call 266-4711.

Prices for all outdoor storage locations:  $75 resident/$144 non-resident  (plus tax)

CANOE & KAYAK RENTAL:
Would you like to get out and paddle on our Madison lakes? 
But you don't have a boat?  Rent one!!
