Canoe the Creek!  Nature lovers, families, and kids all welcome.  Free, no registration required.  Some canoes will be provided, bring your own watercraft if you have one.   Nature and community enthusiast Carl Landsness will take you on a merry paddle to discover beautiful natural areas that border Starkweather Creek and connect our Eastside communities. Meet at the Olbrich Park Boat Launch - near the ball diamonds (north/ east of Atwood across the street from Lake Monona - 3402 Atwood Avenue). Free, family friendly, no registration required.

A limited number of canoes will be provided - please plan to arrive a bit early to be guaranteed a canoe. Participants are encouraged to bring their own watercraft, paddles, and life jackets.

Bird and Nature Outings at Starkweather Creek the 3rd Saturday morning of every month are co-sponsored by Madison FUN Friends of Urban Nature partner groups Madison Parks, Madison Audubon, Goodman Community Center, and Friends of Starkweather Creek.
