Olbrich Park Land Use Plan
The City of Madison Parks Division
held two public meetings in the summer of 2008 inviting comments on the
master plan. This planning process looks at all of Olbrich Park and contiguous
land such as Starkweather Creek and O. B. Sherry Park.
Alternative
plans will be presented that were developed from public comments
at the two public meetings this summer. On December
10, 2008, the Board of Park
Commissions heard the staff recommendation for the Master Plan and further
public comments. The Park Commission decided to refer a decision on
the Master Plan until the March 2009 meeting.
The Parks Division encourages
participants in all park activities to come and voice their interest in the
future development, redevelopment, and restoration of different areas of the
park.
