Madison Parks “Learn to” Series
Madison Parks is pleased to introduce the exciting new “Learn To” Series that will offer monthly, 90-minute demonstrations of various outdoor activities. These free workshops are designed for beginners of all ages in order to introduce some of the many recreational opportunities available in our city parks in all seasons. Madison community experts will present demonstrations on topics including birding, disc golf, boating, fitness, and more!
You do not need to register in advance - just drop in!!
Learn to Play Pickleball

Norman Clayton Park Tennis Courts, 6401 Shoreham Drive
With spring finally here, it’s the perfect opportunity to get outside and learn a new sport! Join Madison Parks and the Salvation Army for the Learn to Play Pickleball workshop. Played much like tennis, Pickleball is the perfect low-impact sport for beginners of all ages to take a swing at. An instructor will be on hand to provide insight on what equipment to use, basic rules of the game, and give demos of proper technique. You’ll also have the opportunity to practice the game and your new skills, and learn of different places around Madison to keep practicing! This is a FREE workshop that is open to all ages and experience levels.
