Practice is held Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 11:40 am.
Swim GroupsThe Goodman Waves is open to children ages 6-18 (by June 19). Groups are based on age and ability but most of our swimmers will be placed in the group with their peers. In order to be in the advanced group for their age, swimmers must have prior competitive swimming experience, be able to do a flip turn, and swim 50 meters continuously (down and back).
Silver - ages 13 and up:
Royal - ages 10-13:
White - ages 9-12:
Purple - ages 9 and under:
The Goodman Pool Waves is not a swim lesson program. To join the team, the swimmer must be able to swim one length of the pool. It doesn't matter how fast, slow or quality of the stroke, as long as he/she can swim. Our expert coaches will work daily with your swimmer to improve their technique.
Cost - $180Cost includes team uniform suit, expert coaching, transportation to/from Goodman Pool to weekly meets, and more fun than you ever imagine!
SCHOLARSHIPSThanks to the Shelley Glover Foundation and The Irwin A. and Robert D. Goodman Foundation, full/partial scholarships are available for the Goodman Waves Swim Team. Stroke ClinicStroke Clinic is an optional program offered three times in the preseason, open to all age groups. At this clinic, swimmers will receive focus specifically on stroke technique and development as they gear up for the season.
Dive ClinicMonday - Friday, August 3 - 14
Dive Clinic is a two-week program following the end of the Waves swim season. It's a great opportunity for anybody interested in getting involved with the Goodman Waves Dive Team, which will be starting within the next few summers. Divers must be comfortable jumping in the deep end without parent supervision and capable of swimming one full 25-meter length of the pool unassisted.
