The The City of Madison Parks Division is planning a series of improvements to Rennebohm Park in 2018.
The community garden area will undergo an expansion to accommodate new plots. The existing community gardens on site will remain and a new area will be added. The garden fencing will be expanded to include the new area and additional irrigation main will be installed to provide water to the new plots.
The existing softball backstop on site will be removed and relocated to the east side of the play field on site.
Two existing small trees on site will be relocated outside the garden expansion area.
The bike and pedestrian path through the park will be shifted to a slightly different alignment to accommodate the new garden area. The old path will be removed and reinstalled approx 100' to the south.
During construction the path will be closed near the community gardens.
The City has hired Joe Daniels Construction to complete this work. Construction is anticipated to begin on May 21st and be finished by June 8th.
