Reserving an Athletic Facility or Field
The City of Madison Parks Division offers a variety of quality softball, baseball, and soccer fields and volleyball, basketball and tennis courts.  The facilities range from the premiere and highly maintained facilities for leagues to the unlined fields meant for family and friends to organize a pick-up game.

Many, but not all, of the Madison Parks Division facilities are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, at no charge.  The Madison Parks Division suggests you first call the Parks Office at 266-4711 and talk to the Athletic Scheduler about what fields and facilities are available.

Tournaments and Leagues
If you are planning to organize a tournament, you must fill out the Special Event in a Park packet.  If you are planning to start a new league, you must first talk to the Madison Parks Staff to discuss your proposal, as well as discuss the reservation fees.

Process for Facility and Field Reservation

Step 1              Call the Athletic Scheduler at 266-4711, Monday-Friday, 8:00a.m.-4:30p.m. to discuss your reservation, and perhaps find a facility that is open on a first-come, first-serve basis and is available at no charge.

Step 2              If you need to or choose to reserve a facility or field, the reservation fee for most fields and facilities is $100 ($105.50 w/tax) for the first date and $27.49 ($29.00 w/tax) for the successive dates (see exceptions below).  This is per day and can be for any length of time and any number of games.  However, if you are planning to organize a tournament, you will be charged a "Special Event" fee and must fill out the appropriate application.

Step 3              After discussing the reservation with the athletic scheduler, to make the final reservation, the Parks Division needs a written or email request with the following information: YOUR NAME, MAILING ADDRESS, DAYTIME PHONE, AND FIELD/FACILITY LOCATION, DATES AND HOURS.  You may email your request to:  jmattke@cityofmadison.com

It is important to note that priority access is given to inter-scholastic and youth club sports reservation.  Therefore, there are very few available dates in the spring and fall.  Reservation requests are taken in the order received.

Reservable Facilities and Fields
