**Please remember
that Mother Nature (not the Parks Division) decides
when the outdoor ice skating rinks and cross-country
ski trails can open. The Parks Division opens
the rinks to the public at the earliest possible
date. (Some years it has been mid-December and
other years it has been the end of January.)
For the equipment to safely prepare the rinks, we
need 2-4 weeks of below freezing
temperatures. To groom the ski trails, we need
at least 4 inches of snow.
