Track 2

The final list of potential Track 2 Comprehensive Plan map amendments was accepted for evaluation and consideration by the Plan Commission at their May 16, 2011 meeting. Track 2 consists of potential map amendments that were requested by prospective developers or others to accommodate a specific proposed project or future land use that would not be consistent with the current Comprehensive Plan.

All nine of the requested amendments on the preliminary list of potential Track 2 amendments were also included on the final list of potential amendments accepted for evaluation and consideration. Inclusion on the list of amendments that will be considered does not necessarily indicate that City staff, the Plan Commission or the Common Council will support the amendment, but only that the proposed changes in recommended land use will be formally evaluated and considered.

In most cases, the requested Track 2 Comprehensive Plan amendments would also require a corresponding amendment to an adopted neighborhood, neighborhood development, or special area plan covering the amendment area, and it is generally intended that the review processes for both the Comprehensive Plan and any other applicable plan be concurrent. The review process will also include opportunities for participation and comment by residents, businesses and owners in the amendment area, including at least one public meeting held in the neighborhood.

Please note that these same materials may also continue to appear elsewhere within this website as well.
