Community Policing Blotter

Cookout at Salvation Army

October 3, 2018 9:51 AM

For the last couple of years, the Central District Community Policing Team (CPT) has worked on developing a positive, collaborative relationship with the Salvation Army, a critical service provider that lies in the heart of the Central District.  The CPT has been part of many meetings, activities, and efforts.

As part of those efforts, CCPT routinely engages in non-traditional activities with the Salvation Army.  A fine example of which recently took place, when on September 12th CCPT grilled brats and burgers for approximately 100-120 people at Salvation Army.

Mounted and K-9 also represented MPD at this positive event, and the Madison Community Policing Foundation provided the funds to purchase the food.

Thanks to all who participated!
