One of the great things about policing Madison's South Police District is the abundance of green space and open water we are able to take in everyday as we protect and serve. On Saturday, June 27th, the Union Sportsmen's Alliance will be hosting a "Take Kids Fishing Day" at Vilas Park on the shores of Lake Wingra. The event is limited to the FIRST 150 kids who sign up by MONDAY JUNE 15th. All youth must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Fishing starts at 9:00 a.m. Sounds like a great, great event !!! We may even have a South District officer or two throwing a line into the water as well !!!
