Details

This case can be filed under: "If it is too good to be true, it probably is." Two young men thought they'd hit pay dirt recently when a couple of other guys offered them a $100 bill for their pizza. They had just purchased the pie on Regent Street. It was late, they were hungry, and the pizza would have been good. But for a $100 bill, you could buy a lot more pizza. The victims said they were walking along Randall Avenue, when the pizza buyers approached. There was some language similar to: “Hey would you part with that pizza for a hundred bucks?” The deal was cut, and the sellers went home - probably couldn't believe their luck. Upon arrival, and closer examination of the bill, they quickly realized it was a fake. No one had really given them a Benjamin Franklin for a $6 pizza.
