A 24-year old Madison man suffered a significant head injury when he stood up while traveling in the bed of a pickup truck early Sunday morning. The truck's driver, a 26-year old Janesville man, said he was the designated driver for several people who were heading home from downtown. The accident occurred in the 5400 block of Denton Place. The driver passed field sobriety tests. It is not known why the victim stood up while the truck was in motion. The accident is under investigation.Released 05/29/2012 at 9:38 AM by PIO Joel DeSpain
