A 17-year old Madison teen flagged down a MPD officer Saturday afternoon wanting to report a mugging that took place earlier that morning. The victim said he was in the 600 block of University Ave. around 2:00 a.m. when two strangers approached. One pushed him, and then punched him several times in the head. During the assault someone took his $800 cell phone from a pocket. The victim was reluctant to report the crime immediately because he was intoxicated when it happened.Released 07/26/2012 at 10:54 AM by PIO Joel DeSpain
