A 15-year old student was punched in the face in the 100 block of State Street this afternoon while trying to get his Chicago Bulls hat back. A strong-armed robber had grabbed it from the teen. Officers indicated the victim was some type of field trip when he was accosted. A witness saw the suspect go into MATC and alerted officers to the location. The suspect fought with police, punching two officers in the face. An electronic control devise (Taser) was used to help gain control of the combative man. He has refused to identify himself, and his name was not known at the time of this release.
