4900 blk Verona Rd


A 44-year old Madison man told police he was driving in the center lane of southbound Verona Rd., past the intersection with Raymond Rd., when a man ran into the roadway. The pedestrian was struck by the Madison man's car and taken to a hospital. He was initially listed in critical condition. The driver was very upset and distraught about the collision. There was no evidence that he was impaired and no citations were issued. The crash is under investigation. A wallet found following the crash indicates the hospitalized man is a 45-year old Chicago resident.

An unidentified male was struck by a vehicle when he crossed Verona Rd against the light. He was conveyed to U.W. Hospital and is undergoing surgery. On-going investigation.
