UpdateUPDATE - 7/8/2013
While all cases of this nature are extremely serious, this shooting scenario, into a store (Speedway Gas Station) that was full of customers, leads police to believe that this incident was connected to a second report of gun fire near Raymond Road and Lewon Drive; just moments afterward! The Madison Police Department is asking anyone with information, about either of the two events described here, to contact Crime Stoppers at (608) 266 -6014. All callers should know that they can remain anonymous, and may be eligible for a cash reward; leading to the arrest and prosecution of parties involved in the shooting on June 13th, 2013, at approximately 9:40 am. The suspect vehicles were described as a white SUV and a maroon colored sedan.

DetailsThere was gunfire, in broad daylight, along Raymond Road in this morning. Officers have recovered shell casings from two areas, including the 4900 block, which is near the Speedway gas station. One bullet struck a door of the business, but there were no injuries reported. Witnesses told officers they saw a white SUV and a maroon colored car at the time of the violence. Both were moving. The preliminary investigation suggests rounds were being fired from at least one of the vehicles.
