On 6/22/13 the victim and friends were walking in a crosswalk at the intersection of W. Johnson St and N. Frances St.  At approximately 2:10 a.m. a vehicle struck the victim causing significant injuries.  The victim was taken to the hospital for immediate treatment.  The vehicle continued and did not stop.  The Madison Police Department is actively investigating this "hit and run" crash and is seeking help in finding the driver of this crash.  The victim's injuries are not life-threatening.  Officers are looking for a black vehicle, possibly a Volkswagen that may or may not have significant damage.  Anyone with information regarding this crash is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 266-6014.  Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
