Ronda R. Alexander, age 24, Madison
Shatanae A. Mims, age 28, Madison
Suspects were arrested for retail theft.

An Old Navy loss prevention officer tried to stop the thieves after they left the East Springs Dr. retailer with a "bulging" purse full of stolen clothing. One laughed at the employee as both jumped into an awaiting SUV. They sped off. As the MPD investigated the Wednesday afternoon crime, the suspects hit again. This time they were on the other side of town swiping nearly $270 worth of fake hair from Sally Beauty Supply, 678 S. Whitney Way. They fled again. Minutes later, a West District officer spotted the getaway vehicle now parked outside of Westgate's T.J. Maxx. From there, finding the suspects proved not to be difficult. Prior victims said one was donning a very distinct hairstyle: shaved on 3 sides with the rest dyed different colors - neon green, pink, orange, and black. Witnesses also said this same suspect had a "very long, face-length curl that covers the left side of her face. Officers quickly spotted the suspect, and her accomplice, inside T.J. Maxx. They had filled a bag full of merchandise. Both were arrested on 3 counts of retail theft.
