These have been some difficult days for the leader of the MPD's Canine Unit. The department's dogs are just fine, but she is very concerned about Prius. She is the sergeant's 7-year old Shih Tzu. Prius somehow got out of the sergeant's fenced yard last Friday and disappeared. The sergeant posted information about Prius on Craigslist, and got a call from another dog lover. The woman had seen Prius Friday. She was in the street on Midvale Blvd., near Cherokee Driver, and the concerned caller said she tried to come to the dog's aid. However, she said another woman had also stopped at the same time. The other woman grabbed the little dog. The first woman asked the second if the was hers. The second woman said it was not, but she was taking it. Off she went. The sergeant would very much like to get Prius home. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers.
