Address1800 block South Park Street
Victim(s)50-year-old male of Madison, WI
DetailsOn 8/12/13, the Madison Police Department was made aware of what appears to be another metal theft in the 1800 block of S. Park Street. A business representative, for the commercial establishment, led officers to an area on the grounds where damage to a protective cage of several air conditioning units had occurred.
Upon further inspection, the metal caper(s) managed to pilfer the copper tubing inside of the a/c units, and damage/replacement estimates were in excess of $5000.00. This matter continues to be investigated, but the public is reminded to pay close attention to any suspicious activity in and around their residence or areas they happen to occupy. Reporting strange noises, unfamiliar people and vehicles, and any activity that is out of the norm goes a long way in aiding the investigation police will likely conduct.
