Suspect(s)Male, black, late teens to early 20's, 5'8" to 5'9", thin build, short hair, wearing a light colored t-shirt and blue jeans. He may have lost his shoes.

DetailsA construction worker was injured after being clipped by a hit-and-run driver this morning. The victim was helping pour asphalt in the 500 block of Merrill Crest Dr. and fell into some of the fresh pavement. He was taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries. After striking the construction worker, the driver rolled the car and fled. Prior to the crash, a MPD Traffic Enforcement Safety Team officer had attempted to pull the driver over for speeding in the 200 block of S. Whitney Way. The driver turned west onto Regent St. and north onto Merrill Crest during the short pursuit. Following the crash, it was determined the car he was driving was stolen. A police dog and officers are searching for the driver.
