1100 block Morraine View Dr.

Male, age 43, Madison

Following an autopsy, the Dane County Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide. Witnesses indicate the victim, a 43-year old man who had been staying at the Morraine View residence, had been in a verbal dispute with people while inside the apartment. The preliminary investigation indicates this led to a physical altercation with the victim. When police and paramedics arrived, there were no overt signs of serious injury, but the autopsy revealed internal injury. The MPD is working to identify persons of interest, but there have been no arrests.  It is believed the victim, and those involved in the altercation with him, were acquaintances. There is no ongoing threat to the public because of this incident.

Between the hours of 5:00pm and 6:00pm on Friday evening, Madison Police Officers and Detectives arrested three suspects in the homicide which occurred on Morraine View.  Arrested were Manford L. White (26), Anthony D. White (26) and Tavon J. Meyers (21), who will all be booked in the Dane County Jail for 1st Degree Intentional Homicide.  Madison Police have no additional information indicating that there are any other suspects at large associated with this investigation.  Police were called to the scene shortly after 4:00am and the swift apprehension of the suspects was the result of numerous interviews and aggressive investigative follow-up.
