Details

The City of Madison Police Department has responded to two incidents that are very similar in nature with regard to the suspects description. The first robbery incident occurred at the Mobil Gas station with a suspect implying that he had weapon.  The suspect demanded the clerk open the register and removed U.S.. Currency.  This incident occurred late on Monday evening at 9:41 PM.

The second attempted armed robbery occurred at the BP Gas Station located at 4222 E. Washington Ave., on Tuesday  morning at approximately 4:01 AM.  The suspect matching similar description as above ran into the business and jumped over the counter.  He was then confronted by the clerk wielding a plastic trash can, and decided to flee the establishment.  However, shortly after departing the gas station, he ran back inside. Upon re-entry the suspect was then confronted by two employees and decided it best to leave the establishment for good.

It should be noted that this suspect is believed to have been involved in a similar incident at the BP Gas station approximately 2-weeks prior and has not been located.

Any assistance from the community would be appreciated.
