DetailsOn October 20th at 2:45 AM, the Madison Police responded to a report of a disturbance involving a firearm inside the Government East parking structure at 105 E. Doty St. Police arrived on scene and eventually detained two subjects involved.
The investigation revealed that a trio was out at a downtown restaurant when they began to argue over the bar tab. The three, which included Jeremy Tiffany and Mitchell Christen, continued the argument to the parking ramp on the way to their car. During the confrontation, Tiffany displayed a handgun, making it known - but not pointing it at anyone.
BothTiffany and Christen were conveyed to the Dane County Jail on tentative charges for Disorderly Conduct. No persons were hurt in this incident. The firearm was never discharged. Access to the parking ramp was temporarily restricted during this investigation but it has since been reopened.
