Male, black, mid-20's, short hair, 6'1" to 6'4", wearing a dark blue jacket, jeans, and basketball shoes.

Female, age 67, Monroe, WI

A passerby heard the victim's screams and ran to her aid Sunday night. In the process, he likely prevented the 67-year old Monroe woman from losing her car. She had stopped at the PDQ, 2538 Fish Hatchery Rd., around 6:25 p.m. to get gas. While at the pump, a stranger grabbed her from behind. He had an accomplice, and both were on top of the victim as she screamed. One was able to snatch her car keys from her hand. Just as that happened, a 38-year old runner heard her pleas for help and disrupted the mugging. The victim was shaken but not injured. She bit one of the criminals on the hand or arm a couple of times during the struggle. A friend of the victim's came to the scene with a spare set of car keys.
