Suspect was arrested for Receive Stolen Property.

DetailsThe MPD was able to track down a stolen gaming system, and arrest the person who pawned it, thanks to an online database called Leads Online.
The Xbox was taken during a burglary to a home on Kanazawa Circle last Thursday. The criminal was able to get in through an unlocked door. The Xbox, when stolen, contained the game "Madden 25."
Yesterday, the MPD contacted the woman who sold the game and the system for $50 to Pawn America, 2301 East Springs Dr. The transaction took place on the day of the burglary. The suspect initially claimed she had purchased the system from "a friend of a friend" a couple of months ago, and she said she had the "Madden 25" game for "two years." The investigating officer pointed out the system had just been stolen, and the Madden game had only been on the market for a couple of months. There was no way she had possessed it for "two years."
The suspect later changed her story and said she had actually bought the stolen goods from a stranger while she was at East Towne Mall. She says she paid $35 for the merchandise. The victim placed the value of the burglarized items at $435.
