300 block W. Wilson St.


Male, tan complexion, mid-20's, chunky build, very short hair - nearly shaved head, facial stubble, wearing a dark colored pullover with some type of orange design on it.


Female, age 22
Victim is not a UW-Madison student.


Case detectives are looking to identify a possible witness to the sexual assault. Anyone recognizing the person in the photo is urged to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 266-6014.

The case detective has gotten additional information from the victim. She (the victim) indicates the assault took place in a secluded parking lot in the 300 block of E. Wilson St. The victim says the man convinced her to go into the lot as she was looking for a friend's car. During the crime, she believes she may have injured her assailant. She also suffered injuries, and was taken to a hospital where she was treated and released.

In addition to the description above, she believes the perpetrator was mixed race, and may have been wearing rimless eyeglasses.  The victim provided information to a MPD sketch artist and a rendering is now included with this release.

A 22-year old woman reported being sexually assaulted outside in the 300 block of W. Wilson St. early Sunday morning. She said she had met a man while out socializing in the downtown area. They went to a bar together, and she says he later attacked and assaulted her.
