DetailsA 46-year old man came to the North District station early this morning, around 1:45 a.m., wanting to report an attempted mugging that he claims took place Thursday, around 10:45 a.m. He says he was walking on Oak St., near E. Washington Ave., when two men tried to rob him. During the encounter he says one hit him in the head with a handgun. He told police he was able to get away with all of his possessions. He believes there is a possibility this was a targeted assault. No witnesses contacted police to report this crime.
