DetailsOfficers used an electronic control device (Taser) to bring a suspect under control after he allegedly threatened another man with a knife on Northport Drive last night.
The arrested subject was muddy and clad only in boxer shorts when police arrived. They had been summoned by a freighted woman. She was trying to put her young child to bed, but was having a difficult time because someone – the suspect - was outside making a bunch of noise. She asked him to quiet down. When he refused, her boyfriend went out and told the man to leave. The boyfriend says this is when he was threatened with the knife. He came back into the apartment and told his girlfriend to lock the doors. She could see the suspect outside of one, and later heard glass in the storm door break.
Police were called and officers struggled to bring the suspect under control. A friend of his said he had consumed a lot of alcohol.
